Oculus Needs a Moving mode

You would think Oculus would have a mode for when your walking, driving or flying.  I was very disappointed and amused at what happens when you try to use the Oculus in a plane.  And the more I thought about it the more underdeveloped I realized the the operating system was.  I wonder how hard it would be to rewrite the operating system.  I wonder if there are any open source VR based OS out there.
